This golden yellow Late Harvest wine has an extremely pleasant and complex aroma with clear overtones of mature peaches, apricots and honey, emerging from a delicate background of botrytis. These characters reappear fully in the palate, enhanced by marked notes of quince jam, and creamy honeyed flavours enlivened by a good level of acidity. The Curico valley is situated around 200km south of Chiles capital city Santiago. The wine growing region is situated between the Andes Mountains in the east and the Pacific Ocean in the west and it stretches over a long narrow strip. The Echeverria vineyards are irrigated with melt-water from the mountain streams and the result is mineral rich nutrients being taken into the vines and grapes. The outcome of this is the creation of wines with huge amounts of character that compete on the world stage in terms of complexity and quality. This Late Harvest wine is born from a Special Selection of single vineyard, estate grown Sauvignon Blanc grapes, hand picked in several stages in late autumn to ensure the presence of true Botrytis. The extreme care required to produce this outstanding dessert wine is a reflection of Echeverrias family commitment to quality that enables them to ensure the excellence of all their wines.
